Google supports PIM

Google is making several tools that makes personal information management easier to perform. Beside their traditional search engine am I using their desktop search and their new e-mail service Gmail. Gmail is still on Beta test. The unique with Gmail is the space of storage. You have 2GB of storage, which makes it possible to keep every mail. You can search after the e-mail you want.

These kinds of services and tools support the need for personal management of information, which also may include personal records.

Proactive approach

A proactive approach has been identified as necessary when designing and developing information systems managing records or archival information. This proactive approach has also been identified by researcher in the area of legal information management and technology.
