I have struggling with an article for a conference this fall, and the content is evaluation of a business by using the business records. I have carefully studied the ISO 23081 standard on record management metadata. It is a standard has six categories of metadata types in it, something much more than other metadata initiatives has.
I am fully convinced that the ISO 23081 is a standard that correct used could have huge impact on records management in business. It seems that the maturity level of the standard is high, and that records confirming to the standard also is of high quality.
